Avengers: Age of Ultron Movie Review

Well look what we have here, the movie I've been waiting to see for an entire year.

When The Avengers dropped back in 2012, it literally changed the game. It set the tone for what the culmination of a shared universe should look like when you team up all of the important characters on one screen. The movie did so well that it inspired other studios to imitate what the studio was doing, now that's success. After the movie came out, Phase two began and we saw the character development from all of the Hero's in phase one. I was more so excited because we got to see the addition of QuicksilverScarlet Witch and my most anticipated character, Vision.

I literally was excited by the additions of those characters and the possible separation of the core members due to internal conflict. Plus Ultron from what I remember from the comics completely kicked The Avengers asses. Those are literally the reasons why I wanted to see this movie coming around this time.

Now let's get down to exactly what happened.

Now I'm trying to figure out how to word this without giving away too much about the movie. Well first I'll say that this movie would have done ten times better had the Mayweather vs. Pacman fight not been on the same weekend as opening day. Plus the leaked torrents on the internet slowed down the growth of the film as well. But the movie still managed to pull in almost the same numbers as the first entry. To me, I feel as though the movie was dumb down for all of the kids that came to see the movie. Clearly you can see that it was made to be family friendly, and there's nothing wrong with that because that's where you make your money.

For me they made Ultron way too soft acting when he should have been more ruthless than he was, even though he was pretty up there. The plot was as solid as it can be, but I just knew that this movie was setting up to Captain America: Civil War. You could tell all through the plot that it was leading towards that, so I personally had that movie in my mind the whole time while watching it. Which is one of the signs of reading spoilers and Marvel announcing plans way too early in the game.

I mean all in all this was a typical Marvel move, everyone carried their weight like they should and didn't hog up the screen too much. Well actually Thor's appearance was few and far in between, but he definitely comes through in the clutch as only as he can. The movie was pretty solid, it didn't really do anything for my anticipation other than setting up the conflict between Tony & Cap, which I'm interested in seeing play out, especially with a certain character finally returning to the fold. Of course I would recommend this movie to anyone, it's The Avengers for God sake. Just don't expect it to be like the first one is all I'm saying, and definitely the highlight of the movie is the fight between Hulk & Iron Man with Tony whipping out that Hulkbuster Amor.

I'm sure you've seen this movie, what are your thoughts on it? Leave it in the comment section below.

Until next time guys.
