Blackhat Movie Review

I really tried to give this movie a chance, but it just didn't do it for me.

Typically with all of the actors from The Avengers lineup, they're pretty great actors outside of playing superheroes, that's what makes them great superheroes. Since starting his role as Thor, Chris has had some pretty decent supporting roles such as the jock in The Cabin in the Woods, the Huntsman in Snow White, (which garnered his own film adaptation for 2016), and also a role as the fearless big brother and leader in the Red Dawn remake. Then he managed to land the lead role of James Hunt in one my favorite films of 2013, Rush. So with all of that going for himself, plus his dead on acting of Thor, I was totally here for this movie.

But we all know that everything you do isn't going to be the best, and this movie wasn't the best by a stretch.

I don't know what it was exactly but it just lost me somewhere, I don't know whether it's the shooting style or the slow developing plot line, but somewhere along the way it just disconnected with me. I didn't fully reconnect with this movie til the end where he manage to awesomely kill the movies protagonist. I'm not too disappointed in Chris for this movie, because like I said before, there's at least going to be one bad one. I'm just glad that he got it out of the way now because over the top seriousness isn't his style of acting. Most of his movies has him cracking jokes at some point, being that sarcastically serious type of guy, and that's just fine by me.

I'm just going to cut this movie review short and say that if you're looking for something great from Chris that showcases his talents, this isn't it. Go back and watch his other movies and skip over to In the Heart of the Sea when it comes out later in the year. But if you did see this movie I would love to hear what you thought about it in the comments below.

Until next time guys!
