Pursuit of Happiness

Do you have any dreams?

Is there something that you've never done? Is there a task, a sporting event, a book you want to read, anything that you wanted to do but you just never did? If you answered yes to any of this, then ask yourself this one question: why haven't you done it yet? Is it because it's too costly? Could it be that it's too time consuming in your busy and hectic life? Is there someone holding you back from doing it? Or are you simply making excuses for something you're scared to do? These are all valid questions that you have to ask yourself because it's important for your spiritual, emotional and mental growth.

Believe it or not, leaving unresolved goals on the table is a very unhealthy thing. It can cloud your mind and it can lead to emotions that aren't resolved and create hidden emotions like angst, anger, resentment, even stress. Some people develop these feelings later into their life when they grow old and can't do as much as they could before and they start thinking of all of the things that they wanted to do, or in their words, should have done. These feelings are natural because it's apart of the human psyche, but what can you do to change that way of thinking and feeling? What can you do to make sure that when you get to that age that you won't get to that point  where you start regretting and every single thing? The answer is simple:

Start planning today.

It's never too late to start doing what you love, regardless what anyone says, just check out the 99 year old woman who graduated from college. I mean she's 99, if she has the will power to go back to school and actually finish, then you can get up and do what it is that haunts your memories. All it takes is a well placed plan, the conviction to do it and a great network of people cheering you on. Now granted we all won't have an immediate network of people that can cheer us on, but it's 2015, you can easily go online and find people to support you. The internet, when done right, can help you immensely when it comes to your goals. There are always people in this world willing to help other people who want to make a better life, you just have to go out and find them.

As I always say on this blog, life is fluid like water, it can always change at the drop of the hat and you never know what's going to happen if you don't ever try to do it. The key thing here is that you have to TRY and you have to believe that you can achieve what you have your heart set on doing. It's not hard unless you make it hard in your mind, half of the battle is getting over that hurdle, over that little voice in your mind saying that you can't do it. Once you do that, then you can move on to actually accomplishing what you do. Then once you get yourself in that position you have to realize that time is of no consequence to you. You don't have to do it today, tomorrow or even next week. It's accomplished when you can accomplish it, don't let anyone tell you otherwise or give you any kind of flack for it. Plan, prepare, succeed, that's all you have to do, it's only as hard as you make it in your mind.

You can do it, I believe in you.

    1. I'm almost 30 and I'm about to hop back on the horse and get it knocked out, so even if you don't get there by 30, have no fear, it's when you can complete it, not when you're suppose to.
