So my one of my
best friends got married yall!
This is a pretty
huge day because it signifies that she's coming full circle as a woman and it's
been a long road here. Now I'm not going to bore you with a whole bunch of
sentimental words I'm sure that would invoke some tears, rather I just want to
say that I'm not only happy, but I'm extremely proud of Desiree. We have come a
long way since we were in our undergrad days, being young college students and
what not. As time passed and years drifted away, our friendship only became more
awesome. I just want to point out that I don't like talking about people at all,
in any sense, but one of my favorite things in this world, like many people
whether they admit it or not, is people watching with Desiree. That has to be
some of the most hilarious conversations that I will have in my life. But
anyway, back to the serious matter at hand lol, the wedding was nothing short of
amazing and beautiful. I'm glad I sucked it up and put my stresses to the side
and was able to bear witness to one of the happiest days of her life. I'm not
one to be big on weddings in any kind of sense, but that red dress was killer,
and it was hitting on all kinds of points. But you know me, the thug tears came
down a little when she came walking down those steps, and then they came down a
little when the star of the whole show came running up because he didn't want to
be left out lol:
Then I
not only got to sit by the cake, which I didn't get to taste, but I
got to sit at the cool kids table, with the all of the cool kids who
didn't act up and embarrass anyone lol:
Then I
actually sat this close to the
bride and groom, I could
literally feel the love they
were exuding from that table. At
this point I feel like a color
commentator during a golf
tournament, tracking their every
move lol:
Then of course the first
dance was pretty awesome, tears and all, I
mean I had a thug tear or two, maybe my
eyeballs were just sweating, yea that's what
I'm going with on this one:
And of course you know we
had to get a selfie with the bride and
groom, this picture just sums up how our
friendship works, we're all goofy and
Desiree is the fabulous one here lol:
Then of
course the most awesome moment,
as you can see from my facial
expressions was the photo booth
at the end of the night.:
I
attend a couple of
weddings here and
there, but none of
them close to the
awesomeness in which
happened on June,
20th 2015. I
couldn't have been
more proud of her
and what she has
accomplished up to
this point. I know
there are a lot of
exciting changes
coming up, with way
more on the way in
the future, but this
was a milestone that
I won't ever forget.
If I enjoyed
anything more than
the other during
this wedding was the
fact that the food
was pretty great
lol. But as I told
her, nothing but
well wishes and many
prayers for
blessings to Desiree
& Quincy, I'm extremely happy for
you guys!
Indeed it is wedding season and I have quite a few to attend myself lol. I just pray and hope I don't become the chick from 27 dresses always a bridesmaid but have yet to become a bride
ReplyDeleteLol I'm sure you won't, as long as you stay true to yourself and work hard on bettering yourself every single day, that man will find you and he'll be lucky to have you.
DeleteCongratulations to the bride and groom! The wedding looked beautiful! I'm not entirely convinced that y'all didn't act up a little bit.
ReplyDeleteThere was a little moment in the photo booth that we did act up lol But I'll relay the thanks!
