San Andreas Movie Review

I'm calling it now, we are in the midst of seeing Dwayne Johnson hitting his stride in Hollywood.

I am a big fan of Dwayne Johnson's movies, because he just brings a certain dimension to all of his roles. This role in particular is different for the fact that he shows off a different side of him, in the midst of what he does so well as an actor. He combined his chops as a great action star with the hint of being a vulnerable husband, father and war hero. His character was steadfast and didn't need to develop and he used that to anchor the cast. Other characters progressed as need be and didn't waste too much time doing so because of the pace of the film. The special effects were so bad ass, there was action sequence where he was in a boat and racing that will make you jaw drop. I literally was on the edge of my seat for it, and it definitely threw a wrench in there that I didn't see coming, which is always a good thing.

If you are down for a good ol action film with a very sappy ending, then this movie is definitely for you. Like I said, I thoroughly enjoyed this film for the simple fact that Dwayne Johnson is in it and the pace is great. So I'm definitely recommending this movie to anyone who will watch it, and it's in the top five of my movies for the year. If I were you, I'd go check it out in the theaters because of the awesome special effects, movies like this are meant to be seen on the biggest screens.

Oh yea, did I mention how fine Alexandra Daddario is in this movie?

If you've seen this movie then I'm interested in hearing what you have to say about this movie, leave it in the comments below.

Until next time guys.
