Yea, so I didn't like this movie too much.
I mean in the beginning, the premise and the cast
had me, but towards the end, it was kind of hard to feint interest
in the movie. Will Smith will always be an actor who I will support,
and with that comes the pains of seeing him make hit movies and
movies that are simply just a miss, and this is a miss. The story line was cool and all, and the actors in it are familiar to me,
but for some reason, it just never stuck with me, or rather I never
caught the actual vibe of the movie. I feel like the storytelling
was a bit rushed in the beginning so that it could set up the big
bang in the film later, sacrifices I guess.
Not much really to say about this movie other
than the beginning was pretty awesome and it shows you a lot of cool
tricks on how to swipe something from someone right in their face.
Like I said, I didn't feel properly setup to enjoy the plot twist at
the end of the movie. I'm pretty sure this is one of Will's throw
away movies that he wanted to make, the trailer had me hype for it,
but it was a supreme let down. I think this and
Maggie were two of the films that let me down in terms
of me giving some of my favorite old actors a chance at redemption.
Usually I say hey watch this movie either at the
$1 theater or even on Redbox when it comes out, but naw, don't waste
your time on this one at all. The chemistry between the two was
cool, so be on the look out for them when they team up for
Suicide Squad coming out in 2016. I think Margot is
actually playing Jane in the new
Tarzan movie coming out in 2016 as well, so that's
something to look out for as well. Actually Will is in an upcoming
movie dealing with concussions and how former NFL players deal with
it in their lives after football and how the NFL tries to cover it,
it's called
Concussion, so that sounds interesting. But yea, as for
my recommendation, don't bother seeing this movie unless you have a
lot of free time on your hands.
Have you seen this movie? If so, how did you like
it? Was it interesting, or was it just blah? Leave it in the
comments below.
Until next time guys.
