You can either be positive or negative;

I choose to be an optimist.
It's all a matter of perspective.

We all make
choices everyday that affects not just ourselves, but the people around us,
whether we know that purposely or inadvertently. These choices, both good and
bad, can have a small effect on the things that we do personally but could mean
bigger consequences in other peoples lives. I've seen that a lot of people make
excuses for the things that they do without taking into account a couple of
things before they do them. I typically try to think of three things before I do
mostly anything at all.
The first one
being, what effects is this decision going to have on my life? You
always have to start with self first because that's what matters the most. You
have to think what is this decision going to do for me right now, in the near
future and in the future. While something looks great now or you simply don't
care, later down the road you may sit back and think to yourself "man what was I
thinking about when I did that?". I mean no one is perfect and we can't
determine our future actions based off the ones of now, but majority of the time
you know the decisions that aren't good ideas before you do them.
Then next you have
to think to yourself, does it effect my loved ones? I mean
anything in life you do revolves around your family, anything, that's just
common knowledge. You may not have too great of an immediate family now, but one
day you're going have one of your own and you have to think about the things you
do now for when they come into your life. You don't want certain things you do
coming back up in the future and disturbing the flow of things. While it may not
mean much to you ever, the people around you see life differently and it may
effect them greater than you realize. This is where you have to take into
account other's well being on this one.
Then the final
thing you have to ask yourself is it morally right? A lot of
people these days flat out don't care about the moral ramifications of making
poor decisions. This is where they make excuses about that things that they do.
They think because they're at a certain point in life they can say a certain
phrase and that it will be ok to do. I mean if that's you decision making
process and that's what makes your boat float, then by all means, do it. But you
should probably take into account the morality of the situation before you just
dive into it. Because I guarantee you this, you might not care about your moral
fiber now, but later in life, it will matter greatly.
All in all I say
this because I realize that some people don't have the same decision making
skills that have come to make me respected. That's the learning point in all of
this, don't expect people to think and do what you do because they are not you
and you are not them. That's where I am right now, but at the same time, you
have to surround yourself with people that do the things that you do because at
the end of the day, your happiness stems from the life that you've made. So you
if you're around people that aren't encouraging you to make the right decisions
in life, then eventually they will move along and leave you with the decisions
you made in the wrong moments.
For most of my
life I've made decisions based off what I see, that's how I learn. I learn
through actions and history. And now that I'm inching towards the realm of being
an actual adult, a lot of things disappoint me about the people I once held in
high regards. They make decisions that usually come back to bite them right in
the butt and they usually come crawling back. That's how it always happens in my
life, always. But now it's not up to me to judge them off the things they do, or
to even care, it's up to me to decide to choose what to deal with. And at the
end of the day, I typically choose not to deal with something because it's not
within the parameters that I've set for myself. Basically, if you don't move how
I move, then you can move around.
What do you think?
Do you think that people should have a decision making system or should they
just wing it and do whatever they feel and deal with it later? Tell me what you
think in the comments below.
Until next time
guys.
