This is the month I've been waiting for.
Typically around this
time, this is when the weather starts to change towards the warmer and the
festivals kick into full swing. I mean at the beginning of the month the weather
will be on the cold side but usually by the end it's a little on the warm side,
making way for that April rain. Now the tail end of February really sucked
because nothing but snow came out of nowhere and we typically don't get any
around this time, but it came. I was really hoping none came this year because
I'm not a huge fan of the now by any means. Matter of fact, at the time of this
writing, its snow and ice all over the place, but I'm not really paying any
attention to it because I'm just excited that the weather is finally changing
towards the warmer. Spring & fall are my two favorite times of the year because
that's when it's warm enough to chill outside, but not that warm so you can stay
out all night long. Summer nights are a close second because they are typically
the same way, minus those really muggy days. All in all, bring on the sun and
warm weather; I'm here for every piece of it.
There are some events
going on with the site, people have noticed that I'm making changes left and
right and adding some things to it. Well that's because I decided instead of
waiting til next year to compete in awards season, I'm going to get me some
practice this year and go ahead and enter the site in there. So with that being
said, you'll see a lot of changes within the coming months. My goal for the year
is still increase content by 500% lol, not really but you catch the drift lol.
So far the pace has been nice and I have format down that will ensure that I at
least put out 20 blogs a month, not even counting things that happen on social
media and in the news. So be on the lookout for that as well as an influx of
guest posts and new bloggers coming to the site. I've joined a couple of
networks, so I'm really excited about that. Networking with new bloggers has
definitely ignited a fire under me because they have been more than positive
about everything. The blogging world is a dope one, once you dive head first
into it and join the fun.
Besides that, I know
this month is St. Patrick's Day coming, along with NCSU's Pan-Afrikan Festival.
Those are two events I'm excited to be attending, so definitely be on the
lookout for those two posts coming in a few short weeks. I might try and catch
me a hockey game this month, seeing as how it's on my 30 Before 30 list coming
out later this month. That and watching a whole lot of basketball since its
March Madness as well as spring training for baseball. I don't think there's
going to be much traveling this month for me because I'm still waiting on the
weather to fully change before I dedicate time to the outdoors. I know that Big
K.R.I.T. is coming to town this coming week so I might check that out if I have
the time to do so, well I hope I can, I need to go to more concerts.
All in all this is
going to be a great month to prep for the incoming warm weather and I can get
some plans finalized and in place for late April, early May, when spring will be
in full gear headed into the summer. As always below you can find my ratings for
movies of the year, and also the reviews that I've done for the ones I've seen.
Hopefully you guys will dig them and check some of them out. Oh yea, I haven't
really gotten around to listening to much music just yet, seeing as how I've
been running around and some family issues have come up, but when I do, you'll
get a definitive list from me and some minor reviews if I can, I do apologize
