Wow, September turned out to be a great one.
A lot of great things happened to my blog wise that I'm truly feeling blessed for. I was featured on my first podcast with The Morris And Jerome Show, the tinder episode. I then guest wrote for iAmMeganAmbers.com: Be You, Do You. And then to close it out I was featured on Quietly Ambitious' series The Ambitious Man. It's always a great thing to be acknowledged by your peers and for them to come up to you and say that they admire what you're doing enough to the point where they feature you or ask you to do something with them, that's the greatest honor I can think of.
That wasn't the end of it though.
I was also honored to be nominated for the Black Weblog Awards for Best Writing In A Blog and also Best Personal Blog. That's the most mind numbing thing that has happened to me since I started blogging. I started writing as a way to vent my frustrations and pains, never would I have thought in a million years would I make it to a point where people say that what I write inspires them and that I'm being recognized for it in even the littlest of ways. There will never be a day that I won't be humble for all of the kind words and votes of confidence. I'm just a guy who's enjoying the ride and at this point I just got on. So I thank everyone who's pushing me to be better while letting me know how good I am right now, I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
Ok enough of the mushy stuff lol.
October is a pretty pivotal point for me because it's about to start getting really busy. With work in addition to so many social events, my birthday and then the holidays right around the corner, there's literally not a moment to spare. That means I need to get back to being more about the business at hand rather than worry about the little aspects of my personal life that's not coming together at the current moment. I know that when I get a lot of that down pact then the rest will fall in line, it's just a matter of me actually doing something about it. It's all about what's benefiting you and if it's not, then let it go.
Another thing that I was asked about is a daily routine and how it's helpful, well I know for me it keeps things that I need to do in line and I know what the game plan is so if something happens during the day that I need to plan around it, I can. If you don't have a daily routine in terms of having your important matters then you should probably have one. It's a new month so go ahead and try it out, you won't regret it.
